About
About me and the therapy I offer
My name is Veronique Christie. I am a qualified and registered counsellor and therapist, trained to listen effectively and with empathy.
I have counselling certificates from the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB) and a postgraduate diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling. I am registered and listed on the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) website and on the Counselling Directory.

Therapy Rooms
I work in a hybrid format, meaning that I work with my clients in person and online both online. I have in-person availability on a Tuesday only. Clients come for one-to-one counselling on a variety of issues, including domestic and emotional abuse, trauma, eating disorders, relationship worries, divorce and separation, bereavement, anxiety and stress (including work-related stress), depression and low mood, bullying and low self-esteem. I also offer support for carers of people with a variety of disabilities and those helping family members deal with alcohol problems.

Psycodynamic Therapy
My approach is psychodynamic, a therapy that helps to deal with events and experiences from your past and present, conscious and subconscious.
Trust in a safe environment
Building a good relationship with your counsellor allows you to explore your experiences, and together we can work through the challenging feelings and behaviours that are currently impacting on your quality of life.
I understand that talking about things we haven’t been able to express before isn't easy; however, the relationship and trust we build together during therapy is at the heart of my counselling practice.
Within a safe and healing environment, my aim is to offer empathy, clarity and insight in order for you to develop the confidence to make changes and grow.
If any of the above feels true or familiar, then please do not hesitate to contact me for an initial chat, without further obligation.
